After spending almost two decades in banking with the last 6 in Learning & Development, Shaz Akhtar decided to take her corporate experience into higher education. Her most recent experience was working as a Program Quality Partner at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) where she helped to build the program quality assurance process across the institution. Her research interests include curriculum design as well as an evidence-based approaches to program evaluation within a change management framework. Shaz holds a M.Ed. in Distance Education that focused on the impact of online vs. face-to-face learning, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Economics, Certificate in Adult Education, Certificate in Project Management and has completed Prosci® Change Management training. She has presented at the Canadian Evaluation Society conference on the topic of co-creation, focusing on bringing change management tools and practices into program evaluation.
