Fee Deadlines
Note: Students entering a new program are considered NEW Students. RETURNING students refers to students returning to the same program.
As a student, you are responsible for understanding and ensuring payment of all amounts owed to Sheridan by the due date indicated on your fee estimate, including deposits and instalments, where applicable.
You are expected to regularly review your online Student Account Summary to ensure charges are as expected, payments have been applied to your account and your balance is paid in full.
Payment is to be received by Sheridan on or before the dates below unless stated otherwise on your online fee estimate or your offer of admission letter.
Note: To hold your seat in the program you have been admitted to, and to avoid a late payment charge, you must allow sufficient time for your payment to be received by Sheridan by the due date.
Online banking payments generally take up to four business days to be applied to your Sheridan student account. If your payment has not been received by Sheridan within the expected time frame, please contact your financial institution.
Tuition deposit
All students are required to pay a non-refundable deposit at certain times during their program. This deposit informs us that you intend to register for courses and prompts us to give you access to the system. Deposit amounts change depending on your student status. Refer to “Deposit amounts” below. For example, if you are a returning student, you are only required to pay a deposit once per academic year and for other terms we ask you to fill out an "intent to register."
Intent to register
In the semester where you do not have to pay a tuition deposit, we ask you to complete an "intent to register" through myStudent Centre. (In your dashboard, select the "Registration Status" tile and then "Intent to Register" to get started.) This informs us that you intend to register for courses and prompts us to give you access to the system.

Outstanding Balance
If you have an outstanding balance greater than $40 following the applicable payment due date, a hold will be put on your account. When your account is on hold, you can still submit your intent to register, but you cannot enrol in further courses at Sheridan or receive official documents such as transcripts or letters of enrolment. To have the hold removed, you must pay your outstanding balance in full.
If you are paying a deposit and have an outstanding balance from a previous term, your payment will be applied against your outstanding balance. Any remaining funds will be applied against your required deposit. Your deposit must be paid in full to hold your seat in the upcoming term. Check your Student Account Summary regularly so that you are aware of any outstanding balances as soon as possible.
In addition to your account being placed on hold, if your outstanding balance exceeds $150, a late payment charge of $150 will be applied to your student account.
