How to avoid fraud
As a student, you're responsible for ensuring that your tuition and fees are paid through authorized payment methods, such as CIBC Student Pay and Flywire. To help protect your account, you're strongly discouraged from using third-party payment services not listed by Sheridan, unofficial agents or informal payment arrangements, as these may increase the risk of payment or registration irregularities.
Be cautious of offers involving discounted tuition or expedited payment services. Payment services not listed by Sheridan are unauthorized payment channels and should not be used to pay your fees.
It's your responsibility to be aware of Sheridan's policies and procedures. See the Student Account Policy and Student Account Procedure for more information. Sheridan reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to any non-compliance with this policy and procedure.
Consider these tips from CIBC on how to avoid fraud when making payments online.
Where to find your receipt of payment
Once Sheridan receives the payment from your financial institution, it will be confirmed in myStudentCentre.
- Log in to myStudentCentre.
- In your dashboard, select the "Financial Account" tile.
- In the left-hand sidebar, select "View My Receipts."
- Select the "Print" icon beside the receipt you would like to view. Save as a PDF to download.
Fee estimates
Estimated fees for full-time studies are available online for students attending an upcoming semester at Sheridan. Your fee estimate reflects the fees charged for your program.
You must pay your fees by the deadlines noted on the Fee Deadlines page or on your fee estimate (available through the Applicant Portal), if you are a new student. Payment by the tuition deposit deadline reserves your seat in your program and paying your fees in full by the applicable deadline allows you to register in courses in subsequent semesters and receive final grades, transcripts and letters.
Where to find your fee estimate
If you're a new student starting at Sheridan, you can access your fee estimate by logging in to your Applicant Portal.
Returning students:
- Log in to myStudentCentre.
- In your dashboard, select the "Financial Account" tile.
- In the left-hand sidebar, select "View My Fee Estimate."
- Use the "Print" button to view/download your fee estimate.
Account summary
Your fee estimate is an estimate only and does not reflect actual charges placed on your account. To view your actual charges, check your account summary in myStudentCentre after your schedule is released and you've enrolled in classes.
You're responsible for regularly reviewing your account summary and making sure that all amounts owed to Sheridan (including deposits and instalments) are paid by the due dates noted on the Fee Deadlines page.
