International Payment Information

Methods of Payment

The following forms of payment are accepted:

1. CIBC Student Pay (Preferred Method)

This option allows you to pay at a preferred currency rate. Foreign Exchange rates offered by CIBC are locked-in for 72 hrs. Depending on your country, various payment options such as local bank transfer, Union Pay and Credit Card payment are available.

You can pay using CIBC Student Pay by visiting cibc.sheridancollege.ca. Sign-in using your Sheridan Login information.

2. Bank Wire Transfer

If you decide to pay your fees by wire transfer, please go to the CIBC Student Pay portal. On Page 2, de-select “I do not wish to use CIBC preferred Foreign Exchange rates”. Continue with the following steps, and the final instruction sheet will have the banking details for Bank Wire Transfer. Download and print the instruction sheet, and take it to your bank for the Bank Wire Transfer. Payer must cover all the Bank Wire Transfer charges.

3. Internet Banking

Internet banking is available for Canadian bank accounts (use Sheridan College as the payee, and your student number as the reference/account number), at the branch or through telephone banking.

No other forms of payment are accepted.

Withdrawals and Refund Policy

Sheridan must be notified by using the International New Student Deferral/Refund Form of all withdrawals prior to the 10th day of class. All fees are subject to a non-refundable registration charge. This charge varies by program in the range of C$1,038–C$3,800.

International students who are refused their study permit will receive a full refund of fees paid minus a $200 administration fee provided they show proof of the refusal (copy of Immigration document) within the first 10 days of classes. The Health Insurance fee is non-refundable after the first day of class. All other refundable fees, except the late charge, will be refunded. Please allow eight weeks for processing a refund.

Payment Options

Students in attendance for two or more consecutive academic semesters who are unable to pay FULL fees of two semesters by the due date have the option to split their fee payment. If you are a new student starting at Sheridan, please refer to your fee estimate for more information.

Payment Due Date

If you are a new student starting at Sheridan, payment is to be received by Sheridan on or before the date indicated on your fee estimate. If you are a returning student, please refer to the Fee Deadlines page for payment due dates.

Note: To ensure your seat in your program, please allow sufficient time for certified cheque/international money orders sent by mail, payment via wire at your financial institution, or via CIBC Student Pay (preferred method), to reach Sheridan by the due date.

If your payment has not been received by Sheridan within the expected time frame, please contact your financial institution.
