Assessment Centre

If you are a Sheridan student, faculty or staff member, please visit Sheridan Central for detailed information and instructions.

The Sheridan Assessment Centre provides services to Sheridan applicants, students and faculty by administering admission and placement assessments as well as make-up testing.

To request accessible formats of information on this page, please contact the Assessment Centre.

Sheridan’s Assessment Centres are currently offering in-person appointments for:

  • Sheridan students who have documented academic accommodations through the Accessible Learning Office and who wish to make use of testing accommodations.
  • Sheridan applicants who are required to take pre-admission tests (such as the English Proficiency Assessment or Mature Student English Test).
  • Sheridan students writing a make-up test, a Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition exam, or a Language Assessment Challenge exam.
  • Apprenticeship Exemption Tests
  • External students who need local proctoring services in their area.
Please book your appointment below. Walk-in appointments will not be accepted.
  • To book your test, please select one of the following campuses:
  • A Canadian debit card to pay your test fee

You'll need to pay your test fee at the Assessment Centre before you enter the exam room on your scheduled test date. The Assessment Centre only accepts payments made with a Canadian debit card. We do not accept cash or credit card payments.

    Valid photo identification

Valid photo ID must be presented to the Assessment Centre staff before testing begins. Examples of valid photo ID include Sheridan onecard, a current driver’s licence, Ontario photo card, or passport.

    Confirmation from Admissions Office

Applicants who have been invited to complete an Admissions Test will be required to show Assessment Centre staff proof by logging in to their Sheridan Portal listing the tests required. In some cases, applicants will receive an email from Admissions outlining the same. Be prepared to present either when requested.

For Apprenticeship Exemption Tests: Proof of prerequisites/documentation

If you're writing an Apprenticeship Exemption Test (AET), you'll be required to bring additional documentation to your exam. View AET requirements.

    What is NOT permitted?

    • Calculators and dictionaries are NOT permitted (unless approved as an accommodation by Accessible Learning). If the use of these materials has been approved, the Assessment Centre will provide them to you.
    • Personal belongings such as cell phones, electronic devices, notes, and other items are not permitted during the test and must be stored in the storage areas indicated by the Assessment Centre staff.
    • Out of respect for others writing exams, family members will not be permitted to sit in the Assessment Centre during your exam.
  • English Proficiency Assessment or Mature Student Assessment

Your results will be available on your Sheridan Application Portal in approximately 5 business days. You can view your results when you log into your Sheridan Application Portal beside your application status.
