Admission to Post-graduate Programs

Admission to our graduate certificate programs

Applicants to our Ontario College Graduate Certificate programs are typically required to have a postsecondary diploma or degree.

Admission to our master’s degree program

Applicants to our master’s program are typically required to have a baccalaureate/bachelor’s degree, honours or other undergraduate degree. Testing cannot be used to meet master’s program admission requirements.

Requirements for all post-graduate and master’s programs

  • You must meet all admission and supplemental requirements listed for your program of choice. Meeting or exceeding the minimum score requirements does not guarantee admission to Sheridan College.

  • Domestic applicants with education outside of Canada must have their transcripts assessed for equivalency through ICAS or WES (others may be accepted). Please refer to our credential assessment information for details.

  • International applicants are required to submit official postsecondary transcripts, indicating courses completed to date, and credential must be submitted at the time of application. In case the transcripts/certificates are not in English, note that these documents must be accompanied by a notarized, official translation into English. Translated copies must also be accompanied by a copy of the original transcript.

  • Private career college courses and/or credentials are not acceptable as admission requirements for Sheridan programs. See recognized postsecondary institutions for more information.

English Language Proficiency

All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan’s English Proficiency Requirements.

Required computer skills

All Sheridan students must have experience using computers. You’ll need computer skills to be successful in your program of study and your future career. The level of computer literacy required varies by program. See Computing & Internet Requirements for Sheridan Programs.
