Lorraine Alyea, MBA, CPA, CGA, FCCA(UK) is an entrepreneur and educator with experience in a variety of industries. Lorraine provides accounting and taxation services to both personal and corporate clients along with information system consulting services with an emphasis on bridging the gap that exists between the area of accounting and information systems. Her strong passion for teaching can be seen in her roles as the Program Coordinator and Professor. Lorraine was nominated by her students for TVO’s Best Lecturer Competition, a testament to the regard her students have for her.

Lorraine believes school is not only a place for education but also for growth. She helps foster that by coaching students at Sheridan College for a variety of academic competitions including, the Ontario Colleges Accounting Case Competition (OCACC), the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC) and the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC). Lorraine also acted in the capacity of advisor for Enactus Sheridan and was enacted as a Fellow in the John Dobson Foundation of Enactus Canada for her work with Enactus Sheridan students.

Volunteering and supporting the community is very important to Lorraine. She is the founder of “Paint Them Blue For Autism”, an autism awareness campaign that supports Autism Ontario. Currently, she assists parents of children with disabilities in obtaining services and community supports and is the former Chair of the Halton Catholic District School Board’s, Special Education Advisory Committee. Lastly, Lorraine was appointed the Treasurer for Special Olympics Ontario-Oakville Chapter in 2016 and as a board member and Treasurer at Frog In Hand in 2020. For all here volunteering efforts, CGA Ontario awarded Lorraine the CGA Ontario Distinguished Service Award.
