Dr. Alireza Sobhanmanesh holds a PhD in Education from the University of Ottawa. His research examines adult learners’ engagement and participation in postsecondary education. He explores the psychological and social conditions that shape learners’ identity, access to resources, and integration into institutional and social contexts. Specifically, he investigates constructs such as motivation, engagement, flow, resilience, personality, and emotion. He also uses participatory and community-based approaches to examine the development and well-being of immigrant, refugee, and international students as they navigate their transition into postsecondary contexts. He has published in Q1 journals and presented at major national and international conferences.
