Dhanna is a full-time faculty member in FAHCS and has been at Sheridan since 2006. She is a professor in ECE/HBECL as well as the current program coordinator of the Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership (HBECL) Degree Program, and teaches in both programs.  Dhanna has over twenty-five years of work experience which includes teaching, academic advising and coordinating as well as involvement in professional development, training and research initiatives.   Though varied, her work experiences have been mainly focused on the adult learner. Dhanna has taught primarily at the community college level, of which the last sixteen years have been at Sheridan and include the roles of teaching faculty member, academic advisor and program coordinator. 

In 2012, Dhanna also completed a two-year secondment with the Centre for Teaching and Learning as a Teaching and Learning Consultant, where she worked with faculty across the college. Dhanna brings her experiences as a faculty member, program coordinator, teaching and learning consultant, academic advisor, educator and researcher to the HBECL-Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership program and supports both students and faculty. Dhanna received an M.Ed in Adult Education from the University of Toronto (OISE) in 1994 and a B.A.Sc in Child Studies from the University of Guelph in 1989. 

Dhanna has been involved in many Sheridan initiatives over the years some of which include past membership in College Council, Cross-College Academic Advising Initiative, Academic Innovation Strategy Task Force for Applied Research and Innovation, FAHCS Academic Policy Review Committee (subcommittee of the LAC), and the FAHCS Teaching and Learning group (TLG). Dhanna currently sits on the FAHCS sub-committee of PQA.
