President, Access Career Solutions, Inc.
Linda is one of Brampton's most notable and committed business women. She co-founded the successful human resources firm, Access Career Solutions Inc. in 2000, with her best friend from Sheridan, Lori Robinson. Four years later, they launched a second firm, Temporary Measures, to meet the more flexible and entry-level staffing needs of their clients. They have partnered successfully with clients in service, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, food and beverage, and the non-profit sector. The fact that many of the company's clients today are the same customers who gave them their start in 2000 is a testament to her success.
The list of community organizations that Linda has supported is extensive. She was President of the Brampton Board of Trade in 2007, only the third woman in 126 years to take on this role. Before becoming President, she held numerous other positions on the Board of Trade. Linda has also been Vice Chair of the Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards Committee, an Ambassador in the City of Brampton's Ambassador Program and Past President of the Brampton's Business and Professional Women's Association. In 2010, Linda was appointed by the Harper Government to serve a two-year term on a new Private Sector Committee (ACSBE) to advise Government on Small Business issues and Entrepreneurship in Canada working for the Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism) Industry Canada.
Linda believes that it is her corporate responsibility to actively work towards building a positive social and economic environment that will contribute to the overall success of her communities.
