Annie Tarzi is a full-time Advertising & Marketing Communications Management Professor at the Pilon School of Business. She has over 30 years of teaching and industry experience in the US and Canada. Annie has held positions in brand management at various quick service restaurants, most notably at A&W restaurants, Little Caesars, and Tim Hortons. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Madonna University, Michigan. Annie also completed a graduate certificate in Research Studies from Griffith University, Australia. She has been working at Sheridan since 2005, teaching various classes in Marketing, Consumer Research, Advertising, Professional Development and Creative Learning Portfolios. Annie is certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Step I & II and Values Perspectives.
Annie’s research interests are varied and include topics such as ‘Money and Motivation,’ ‘Conspicuous Consumption,’ and, more recently, ‘Intuition in Decision-Making.’
In addition to teaching, Annie has held various roles, such as academic advisor and program coordinator, as well as being involved in various activities and committees, such as the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition as a coach and team manager and the Local Academic Council and Teaching and Learning committees.
Annie was born and raised in Livonia, Michigan and has lived in Mississauga for the past 24 years.
