Full-time Support Staff bargaining update

Updated September 11, 2025

At 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, OPSEU, representing Sheridan’s full-time support staff, officially commenced strike action following unresolved collective bargaining.

What does this mean for the Sheridan community?

Sheridan College will remain open, and all academic classes will continue as scheduled. However, you may experience delays accessing campus facilities due to lawful picketing activities. You may also experience delays when accessing services as we redeploy staff to essential student services so our students can successfully navigate their academic year with minimal disruptions.

Please allow extra time for campus access and remain patient and respectful at picket lines. Campus safety and student success remain our top priority.
