Sexual Violence Response Specialist

The Sexual Violence Response Specialist (SVRS) is a central point of contact and support for all Sheridan students, faculty and staff who have experienced or been affected by sexual violence.

The Sexual Violence Response Specialist is available during business hours from Monday to Friday:

Campus Safety Services

Campus Safety Services is available to address safety concerns on campus, including to provide an escort to and from parking lots, residences, pathways and hallways, classes, work location, etc., and for obtaining information to create an Incident Report.

Campus Safety Services are available for 24/7 on-campus support:

Wellness and Counselling Services

Wellness and Counselling Services provides Sheridan students with mental health and emotional support and can make referrals to other services as required including Accessible Learning for accommodations and specialized community resources. 

Health Services

The Health Centre provides Sheridan students with on-campus health supports and will ensure medical safety. The Health Centre can also make referrals to other services as required, including Accessible Learning for accommodations and medical services.

Accessible Learning

Accessible Learning offers services and accommodations for students who have experienced or been affected by sexual violence.

Requests for academic accommodations related to sexual violence can be facilitated and/or coordinated by the Sexual Violence Response Specialist (SVRS) or Health Services.

Residence

If you're a student living in Residence, support through the Residence Life staff is available 24/7. They can connect you with the SVRS (during business hours) and other resources and supports, and will facilitate safe living arrangements to the best of their abilities. Please connect with your Residence Adviser for more information.
