From sparks of creativity to the mastery of metal, Tara Tyler (Welding and Fabrication Technician ‘24) is breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Tyler came to Sheridan after spending six-and-a-half years working in sales and marketing. Looking for a career in the trades, Tyler wanted to work with her hands, and was intrigued by the many forms metal could take.
“I like the endless opportunities and the job stability in the welding market,” says Tyler. “I find welding extremely calming – it's very peaceful. You get lost in the process.”
