Sheridan welcomes Shahrzad Farzinpak as Dean of the Pilon School of Business.

Following a comprehensive search process, Sheridan College is pleased to announce the appointment of Shahrzad Farzinpak as the new Dean of the Pilon School of Business (PSB).

Farzinpak joins us from Seneca Polytechnic, where she most recently served as Chair for both the School of Accounting and Financial Services and the School of Global Business, supporting over 60 full-time faculty across multiple disciplines. Over more than a decade at Seneca, she has held several progressive roles, including faculty member, Academic Program Manager, and Chair, where she oversaw large and complex academic portfolios across multiple schools.Shahrzad Farzinpak

Her leadership has been defined by collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. She played a central role in developing new programs and micro-credentials at Seneca, contributing to the creation of new business degrees and pathways, and strengthening strategic partnerships with institutions in Canada and abroad. She also spearheaded initiatives in flexible course delivery, international collaborations, and program accreditation.

As leader of the Seneca Business UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) team, Farzinpak led an award-winning initiative to incorporate sustainability into business education, earning global recognition for Seneca.

Farzinpak brings a diverse academic and professional background. She holds a Master of Urban Development in Urban and Regional Planning, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Economics from the University of Tehran, and a Graduate Certificate in International Business Management from Seneca Polytechnic. Before transitioning fully into higher education, she gained valuable early-career experience in urban planning and large-scale project leadership. This cross-disciplinary perspective continues to inform her work in post-secondary education.

Farzinpak is eager to work with the Pilon School of Business community to shape a shared vision that is ambitious, inclusive, and rooted in Sheridan’s values of creativity and academic excellence. She is focused on preparing students and faculty for a rapidly changing business landscape shaped by emerging technologies such as AI, while strengthening community and industry partnerships. With a passion for enhancing student experiences and advancing socially responsible business education, she aims to elevate PSB’s reputation as a hub of innovation and forward-looking learning. She will begin her tenure on October 27, 2025.
