Sheridan’s first Indigenous graduate returns after 53 years to share his story and artistic talents
After over five decades, Rene Meshake (Graphic Design, ’70), an Anishinaabe Elder, artist, author and musician, ventured back to Sheridan to share in a poignant evening with the school community. Performing songs on his traditional pipigwan flute, he also shared wisdom and readings from his award-winning book, Injichaag: My Soul in Story: Anishinaabe Poetics in Art and Words.
